FOR THE WARMER WINTER DAYS

I am wearing
Skirt | Miss Selfridges Petite (not available but here is a similar one)
Shoes | Cocorose
Bag | Longchamp
Necklace | Family friend

This outfit is definitely for the more warmer winter days! I paired a stripy long-sleeved top with a black skater skirt for a casual, effortless look. I popped on some ballet pumps and voila! I ended up putting some tights on though because it was colder than I thought!

I have been in love with Zara recently- I love the way that there are so many different styles to choose from in there! Long-sleeved tops are going to be my go-to when it comes to spring. You can wear them when its not cold another for a full on fluffy coat but too cold to just wear a short sleeved t-shirt.

Hope you liked my first outfit post and I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I liked putting it all together. Happy New Year!

Water!

Yep, water, the product which you don't need to leave the house to get but you should always leave the house with! But do you?

The European Food Safety Authority recommends that women should drink about 1.6 litres of fluid and men should drink about 2.0 litres of fluid per day. That's about eight glasses of 200ml each for a woman, and 10 glasses of 200ml each for a man. However this can obviously change depending on you and the environment! When you feel thirsty it means you have lost 1% of your total water (70% of your body is made up of water!) So, get up and go and get a glass of water, and then carry on reading this. I can wait.... Are you back? Okay, I will let you carry on now!

10 benefits of water (and tips)

1. Luckily in the UK water is free | (However over 780 million people lack the access to clean water.)

2. Drinking water can help you lose weight | by increasing your metabolism, which helps burn calories faster.

3. The average person could live without food for nearly a month, but we could only survive about one week without water | if there wasn't any water then we wouldn't be here!

4. Water is essential for healthy skin | The more you drink the more hydrated and healthy your skin will look because water flushes out all the nasty toxins that cause spots. Drinking water can also reduce wrinkles and help moisturise your skin.

5.  Increases hair and nail growth and makes them stronger!

6.  Good hydration can prevent arthritis | With plenty of water in your body, there is less friction in your joints, thus less chance of developing arthritis. Water can help reduce heart disease and cancer | Water helps flush toxins out of your body.

7. If you have the courage, just before you turn the shower off, turn it to the coolest setting | This will make your hair shiner! The cold temperature constricts the cuticle layer of your hair so it lies flatter; making strands smoother and more reflective.

8. More water means a brighter smile and teeth | Good hydration can help reduce cavities and tooth decay. Water helps produce saliva, which keeps your mouth and teeth clean.

9. Natural Headache Remedy

10.  Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue | Since your brain is mostly water (80%), drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted!

TIP: Always have a bottle of water next to you, expecially when you are working or studying. If it is right next to you, you just seem to drink more of it! That probably doesn't make sense | oh well!
