BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB

This was one of the first products that I brought from LUSH and I wasn't disappointed. If you haven't heard of this it's basically a exfoliator for your lips. I only use this when my lips are chapped because I find that this can be sometimes very drying so whenever I use it I always have to apply a lip balm after wards. This lip scrub does make your lips very smooth though and smells divine (like all lush products). It also tastes really good- I always dry not to eat it off my lips because you are, pretty much, eating the dead skin off but it is just too tempting! aha! As you probably know, this is made with lots of natural goodness, no harmful chemicals and only includes 6 ingredients which I think is super important!

Have you tried any lip scrubs? What did you think? What's the popcorn flavour like?

LIZ EARLE'S GOT ME BLUSHING

Liz Earle Blush in Peony 07 | Liz Earle
This Liz Earle blush is really stunning. Just like the bronzer, which I reviewed a few weeks ago (here), this blush is so natural and subtle. It has the tiniest bit of shimmer which I like because it just adds the right amount of 'glowyness' to your cheeks. This shade has come out a little darker than in really life sadly but it is really build-able and I would recommend it for all skin types- it's perfect for a everyday blusher. Like all of Liz Earle make-up they are beautifully pigmented and the packaging is effortlessly classy.

Have you tried any of Liz Earle make-up? What did you think?

LIZ EARLE SUPERBALM

Liz Earle Superbalm | Liz Earle

If you follow by blog you will know how obsessed I am with Liz Earle! Today's pick is their superbalm- it is defiantly super! I mainly use it on my lips but occasional on my nails and cuticles too. It's very moisturising and includes lots of natural goodness. The 5g pot is very useful to just chuck in your bag when you are about to leave too. It isn't 'floral scented' or something which is really highly scented which I am not to keen on. This smells very neutral (if that makes sense) and not overpowering. The only down side is that I find it has a rather 'oily' feel which is completely fine if you are wearing it on its own but as a lipstick primer it isn't. That said, it isn't too thick.

Have you tried any Liz Earle products? Which one is your favourite?

BLUSHING?

MUA Blusher in Bon Bon | Superdrug

I have never tried anything from MUA before but when I saw this for £1 I just couldn't resist. I had been on a hunt to find a drug store blusher with no shimmer and I think this is the one. It is very highly pigmented- you only have to tap your brush in it and you will already have enough. It's perfect for everyday- especially for school- as it doesn't have any shimmer and looks completely natural. Staying power is okay but if I want it to stay all day I would have to reapply it throughout the day. However, apart from that, for a few pounds I don't think you can go wrong!

Have you tried any MUA products- I have heard the primer is really good? What do you think?

THE BEST LIPBALM EVER

BURT'S BEES Lip Balm can be purchased at Boots
I have loved this lip balm for ages- it's sooo good! It is 100% natural and includes vitamin E, peppermint and obviously bees wax. Whenever my lips feel dry then I put this on and, in no time at all, they are back to normal. You don't have to keep applying it throughout the day because it almost works if you only use it once! As soon as you put this on your lips they go all tingling- it feels like you can actually feel it working. It's also perfect for under lipstick. It makes your lips feel and look healthy. It isn't too thick either which I have found with many lip balms. However the flavoured ones aren't as good so I would defiantly recommend getting the original! It may be slightly expensive for a drug store lip balm but it is far the best!

Have you tried any burt's bees products? What did you think?

LIZ EARLE BRONZER

Liz Earle Radiant Glow Bronzer
Liz Earle's Radiant Glow Bronzer is so beautiful! I love that it adds so much glow and highlight to your face and it looks so natural. It also makes your skin look incredibly healthy and alive- I have also noticed this with the blush that Liz Earle also do. It can double up as an eye shadow as well. This bronzer is very build-able meaning it can go with lots of different looks and lipsticks! Even though this is expensive it is defiantly worth it!  I like that it has a mixture of matte and shimmery shades too as it adds to the natural 'glow'. Your skin but better! I am really looking forward to wearing this in the summer!

NEW YEAR NAILS

Rimmel London Rita Ora- Lose Your Lingerie
Sally Hansen- Razzle Dazzle
I don't know if these nails are too sparkly or not? But I thought you could never go too sparkly for the party season?! I am in love with the Rimmel London nail polishes- especially this colour! I wore this so much last year and whenever I wore it I always got so many compliments about it. I have never tried any of Sally Hansen's nail polishes only there nail care and I was really impressed. In one coat it covers your nails with glitter. Both these nail polishes also dry pretty quickly too. There staying power is okay- it probably stays un-chipped for about 3-5 days.

What's your favourite nail polish?

The Best Beauty Product Ever

Source

Water!

Yep, water, the product which you don't need to leave the house to get but you should always leave the house with! But do you?

The European Food Safety Authority recommends that women should drink about 1.6 litres of fluid and men should drink about 2.0 litres of fluid per day. That's about eight glasses of 200ml each for a woman, and 10 glasses of 200ml each for a man. However this can obviously change depending on you and the environment! When you feel thirsty it means you have lost 1% of your total water (70% of your body is made up of water!) So, get up and go and get a glass of water, and then carry on reading this. I can wait.... Are you back? Okay, I will let you carry on now!

10 benefits of water (and tips)

1. Luckily in the UK water is free | (However over 780 million people lack the access to clean water.)

2. Drinking water can help you lose weight | by increasing your metabolism, which helps burn calories faster.

3. The average person could live without food for nearly a month, but we could only survive about one week without water | if there wasn't any water then we wouldn't be here!

4. Water is essential for healthy skin | The more you drink the more hydrated and healthy your skin will look because water flushes out all the nasty toxins that cause spots. Drinking water can also reduce wrinkles and help moisturise your skin.

5.  Increases hair and nail growth and makes them stronger!

6.  Good hydration can prevent arthritis | With plenty of water in your body, there is less friction in your joints, thus less chance of developing arthritis. Water can help reduce heart disease and cancer | Water helps flush toxins out of your body.

7. If you have the courage, just before you turn the shower off, turn it to the coolest setting | This will make your hair shiner! The cold temperature constricts the cuticle layer of your hair so it lies flatter; making strands smoother and more reflective.

8. More water means a brighter smile and teeth | Good hydration can help reduce cavities and tooth decay. Water helps produce saliva, which keeps your mouth and teeth clean.

9. Natural Headache Remedy

10.  Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue | Since your brain is mostly water (80%), drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted!

TIP: Always have a bottle of water next to you, expecially when you are working or studying. If it is right next to you, you just seem to drink more of it! That probably doesn't make sense | oh well!

Pretty Pink Paint

All products are available at Boots
(Above: 2-coats)

Recently I have been on the hunt for a nudish/pinkish nail paint and after starting a bit of a collection I thought I would show you.
My favourite has to be the Rimmel London Rita Ora Nail Polish as it applies really easily and quickly. I have always been a big fan of the Rimmel London 60 Secs collection- there is such a good range of colours too! I wouldn't say that it drys in 60 seconds but whenever I where it I always get lots of compliments. It has the tiniest shimmer in it too. For more shimmer I tend to opt for etheral. It is basically the same just with more shimmer and sparkle!
Another of my favourites is the Barry M Nail Paint (Aquarium). I love this range because it looks like you have spent way more time on your nails then you actually have. Over the summer I was wearing this none stop, especially when I went on holiday. It looks so cool when you are in the sea or just chilling on the beach. I also love that Barry M have so many different ranges; matte, gelly, silk..... (the list goes on) and whenever I go into boots there always seems to be a different colour or a different collection. It applies easily, goes opaque in one coat and is so glittery! That said, the nude shade didn't rock my boat. It didn't go opaque and when it dried lots of air bubbles started building up in it but I suppose not everything is perfect! I was really disappointed with the Models Own one as well. It was very similar to the Barry M nude as it was very 'gluppy' and transparent. Hay ho!

Primer Perfection?

Hello! This drugstore primer proves a lot of things! It claims that it smooths, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protects your skin so I was so excited to try this out. It is okay but I suppose for  £6.99 it's great. This primer keeps my make-up on my face all day. Surprisingly, i didn't think it made my make-up apply more easily though. After applying the Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Pro Primer it left a 'oilyness' on my fingers however it does help matiffy your face throughout the day(even though I wouldn't risk just using this and no powder). Like I said, it does not feel oily on your face and leaves your skin feeling quite moisturised and smooth. However, I felt, this product didn't make my pores less visible. Even though I don't think I will repurchase this product again, it defiantly wasn't bad and didn't make me break out.

What is your perfect primer?

My Hair Care Heros

Hello! A few years ago I never went to the hairdressers and my hair became very very thin at the ends, so I decided that I would brave a trip to the hairdressers! After getting it cut my hairdresser recommended these products to keep my hair in good condition. And they have literally saved my hair!

The first hero is the Nioxin Hair Cleanser. This smells c]kinda minty and really refreshing. It completely cleanses my hair and you only have to use a tiny bit.

The best of the best hero is the Nioxin Scalp Revitaliser. You massage this into wet hair from root to end, like the shampoo and you only have to use a tiny amount. This basically makes your hair stronger from the roots, meaning by the time your roots, now, are your ends they will be super strong. Does that even make sense? Anyway, this has made my hair shiner, thicker and healthier! It's incredible! This with the cleanser works insane together.

The last hero in the triplet is the Nioxin Scalp Treatment. I only put this on my hair probably twice a month, or if my hair is feeling a bit dull. This also works by strengthen your hair at the roots. I am not to sure on the smell- it's like a smoky scent (a bit like a muscle relief cream?) The smell doesn't stay though and goes within a few hours. I just spray this into my roots around my scalp and massage it in.

Tah-rah! What hair product can you not live without? ❄

☺For more information about the science behind these products click here- All these products are prescribed to my hair type. Depending on your hair type the different system you buy. My hair is not coloured or chemically treated. ☺

My Skin Care Saviours!

Hello! After going through months of changing my skin care routine I think I have finally found one that I love and have realised a change in my skin! Ho-ray!

Now, before I get started I just wanted to say that even though this worked for my skin it may not work for you because everybodys skin type is different! As I am 15 I do suffer with a few spots and some redness. My t-zone does get a little oil through out the day but apart from that my skin is combination/normal. So, the boring bit is over, lets get rocking!

I cleanse my face using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I don't have to bore you about how fabulous this product is-  I have always come back to it! If you wear heavy eye make-up I would suggest that you get a special eye makeup remover because it doesn't always break it all down. That said, it removes the rest of my make-up, it smells really lovely(calming scent?!) and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh! It also includes lots of natural ingredients! I just smooth it onto my face and remove it will a muslin cloth which I love because it gently exfoliates your face. If you don't have one you need to get one- there so good! I then splash my face with cold water to close all my pores.

I  used to then use a toner but having ran out of my Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic I have never really purchased another one. My skin seems to be improving without it? So I just go straight to the very important stage of moisturising. I think it is so so important to get a good moisturiser to match your skin. Why? Because if you don't moisturise your skin will produce more oil which results in more spots. Moisturisers also helps add moisture back into your skin after washing it all away. I use the Simple Spotless Skin Anti-Blemish one. I love the way that it isn't to heavy on my skin so it does't block my pores. If you have acne I would not recommend this because I think it would be too light. For skin that always has those few spots I would defiantly recommend this though! Even though it doesn't get rid of all your spots (nothing can!) it does calm redness and prevents those pesky blemishes! It isn't strongly scented and it includes lots of 'good' stuff and no perfumes, like all Simple products

I then use the Simple Spotless Skin Spot Zapper on my spots. This really helps calm redness and prevent spots. It claims that it 'zaps spots in 4 hours' I wouldn't say that is true but it defiantly calms down the spot. It's very light on my skin, so like I said before if you do suffer with acne I don't think this is for you. But I am not a skin expert so don't quote me on that!!
Twice a week I exfoliate and use a face mask. I use the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator and the Sanctuary 5-minute thermal mask in between cleansing and moisturising. If you want to know more go check out my Pamper Essentials post because I have mentioned them there too.

That's it! I think the key is to keep it simple! Try to only put things on your skin that you would eat. I know that sounds weired and I wouldn't want to eat any of these products, but if I had to choose between a brand which contain lots of chemicals and simple/liz earle I would much prefer to eat simple/liz earle products! Do you get me? I don't know how you can ramble on a blog post but I think I may have just done! Shut up Polly!

Aha! Hope you liked it!

Bye! X

The Beauty Blogger Tag

Hello! I was thinking of doing the tmi tag but when the lovely Little Miss Wallflower nominated me to do the beauty blogger tag I thought I would do that instead as a mid-week post.

1- Is your hair naturally curly or straight? | To be honest with you I have no clue what my hair is. One minute I wake up and its gone really curly and other times wavy and then straight. It's very confusing!

2- Do you dye it yourself or go to the salon? | Neither, I have never dyed my hair and I don't want to.

3- Do you wear the same style every day or change it? | This is meaning hair styles, right? Hmm.. when I was younger I used to do loads of cool stuff with my hair but now its either in a pony tail, bun or mostly just naturally down. When its down I either pin my hair a quarter up or just pin a bit to the side- that is if I have time!

4- Do you do your own manicure/pedicure or at a salon? | I can't even remember the last time I had a manicure and I have never had a pedicure either! I just stick with basic block colour which I do myself. If I was to have a manicure I thought get it done at a salon.

5- How often do you change your nail polish? | I go to a school which doesn't allow nail polish. During the summer holidays though it completely varies, it depends on how bothered i can change it and how much time i have.

6- Do you polish your toe nails in the winter or just in the summer? | Just summer but if I am going to a special occasion or a holiday in the winter than I will paint them.

7- How long does it take to do your makeup? | No longer than 10-12 minutes.

8- What do you do first? Face or eyes? | Face. Well, you may know, from the post I did about my current make-up that I like to avoid my eyes because they are so sensitive! For special occasions or days when my eyes aren't that sensitive though I would put some eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara on!

9- Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need? | I have started a collection. But if I had to decide between something I needed and something I wanted for my collection then I would always buy the need thing first! Duhr!

10-  How often do you wear false lashes? | Never, I would like to try lash extensions though one day.

11- Do you where a full face of make-up everyday? | Does anyone?

12- Do you where makeup when you are home alone or with family? | I don't where makeup if I am home alone or with my family at home. I do wear makeup when meeting extended family or just going out with my family.

13- Will you leave the house without makeup? | No

14- How many high-end make-up products do you have? | Umm.. I don't know? It would take many days to tidy through my 'beauty draw'. I am only 15 so I won't have a massive amount!

15- Do you plan your OOTD the night before or while you are getting dressed? | If I am going to a big occasion or going on holiday than I do but for a normal day I just decide while I am getting dressed. For school days I have to wear uniform.

16- How often do you change your handbag? | It varies but at the moment I have just purchased an expensive longchamp back pack so I will be sticking with that for a while! I love it!!

17- What time do you wake up and go to sleep? | School- I would like to say i go to bed at 10pm but probably 11pm. My alarm is set for 6:40pm. No school or outing- 11:30pm and 9-11am.

18- How often or when do you work out? | Umm.. I hike with my family a lot and sometimes play a bit of badminton/tennis/ping-pong in the garden and in our village. I don't have a set timetable! Oops!

19- Left or right handed? | Right

20- How tall are you? |5ft 3

21- Do you speak any foreign languages? | I can not speak any language fluently but I can speak French and a bit of Spanish, Swedish and Welsh.

22- How many pets do you have? | None, and never have. I would love guinea pigs or hens!

23- How often are you on blogger? | Well I am obviously on either Saturday/Sunday or Wednesday because I publish my posts then and nearly always write them then as well. I check comments, e-mails and bloglovin' everyday on my phone.

24- Do you read comments on blogs? | On my blog I read every single comment. On others I sometimes do or normally I would just scan through them.

25- Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts? | A mental note but if I know I won't be going shopping soon I will write it on my phone or in my note book.

26- How did you come up with your blog name? | I was thinking of pollywood or pollgu but decided to go for pollywally because it rhymed, it was easy to remember and it was fun.

27- What camera do you use for your photographs? | FinePixe J12

28- Do you have a phone? | Yes, iPhone 5

29- How often do you clean your house? | I clean my bedroom every week and our cleaner does most of the house.

30- What's your favourite colour? | Sky blue

31- Do you swear? | Nope

32- What are you doing for the rest of your day? | Going to meet up with one of my dad's friends because she has just had a baby. Last minute summer holiday homework.

I tag: You! And 2 of my favourite bloggers: Jenny and Alice

Remember to let me know when you have done it so I can go and read it! I will be back on Saturday/Sunday with a skin care routine. Thank you!

Bye! X
